Import asset using XML

Hello,
I have some assets that for some reason cannot have agents. Local import option on OCS server 2.9.2 has limited information details. I resorted to trying to upload information using XML files which ideally allow to specify more details. Using  `ocsinventory-injector.pl` ( ocsinventory-injector.pl -f myxmlfile.xml -u http://myocsserver/ocsinventory) script against the XML file runs successfully as no errors are displayed. But on GUI cannot see the asset details. My question is how does one effectively import asset details using a customized XML file.

Make sure your XML structure strictly follows the OCS Inventory XML schema (especially the <DEVICE>, <HARDWARE>, and asset fields). Any unsupported tags are silently ignored.

To effectively import asset details into OCS Inventory using XML, you must ensure your XML strictly follows the official OCS schema (.ocs format). If the structure or required tags are missing, the injector script will run without errors but the GUI will not display the data.
